Food Pantry Weekly, 05Aug2015

Greetings Foodies!

It was another great day at the Food Pantry.  This was the first week in memory when both Maja and Vickie were gone. It sure makes me appreciate what they do every week! And major thanks to Tim for covering pickup duties for Maja at Trader Joe’s the past four weeks.

I have an urgent need next Tuesday 8/11: If you have a pickup, van or SUV and can help me with picking up at Capital Area Food Bank please let me know. Total round trip time from Covenant, including loading and unloading is about two hours (10:30-12:30). This is a one-time need since all our back-ups are busy!

One lovely moment tonight. This tiny, sweet lady took me by the hand and pulled into the prayer circle. After Jane said prayers, this little lady proceeded to tell me about what God was doing in her life. She was so excited she was about to burst! I felt honored that she chose to share her joy with me! We serve an awesome God!

With our current volume of clients, we need food contributions and/or your financial support!  Food items needs list is below. Thanks for your continuing support and please pray for all our clients.

This week’s needs list for those wanting to donate food:  cereal, pasta.

To make monetary or food donations, please contact the church office at 512-346-3124, or drop items in the big food pantry box in the hall near the church kitchen.
