Food Pantry Weekly, 06Apr2016

Greetings Foodies!
.
It was another great day at the Food Pantry!  On this beautiful Austin Spring day 22 volunteers served 80 households, which include 229 individuals. For the second week in a row we had very low donation amounts from our two largest retail donors. It’s on days such as this that we especially appreciate our partnership with Capital Area Food Bank and our numerous smaller and individual donors – although we always appreciate them!  In spite of the low poundage numbers, everyone left with bags of food, a bouquet of flowers, a chocolate treat for the drive home and a smile on their face!
.
This week we finalized and submitted our 2017 grant application to Capital District UMC. Thanks so much to Pastor Stella and Colleen for their help in preparation and review of the application!  CDUMC has been a faithful supporter of Covenant Food Pantry for years and we appreciate them!
.
Please pray for all our clients.
