I didn’t make a big deal out of it, but tonight was the 4th anniversary of Covenant Food Pantry! The first Wednesday in May, 2011 we opened our doors – at that time it was a closet door! We had 3 clients that night. I’m so glad I was there, and I’m so glad I’m still part of this great ministry. Whether you give hours each week to the food pantry, help every now and then, write a check every week or month, or just tell others about us… we couldn’t do it without you.
Looking to take a big step into ministry? Maybe you’ve been thinking about doing something special for God, and for your neighbors. Maybe you are ready to engage in real hands-on ministry? Ready to step it up a notch? Call me. I have a couple of things I’d love to talk with you about. It will be a no-risk, no-pressure conversation, just something to think about.
Tonight was busy – 77 households. God did his loaves and fishes miracle…again. Before we opened, I told someone I hope it’s a light night, because we received considerably less than usual amounts from My Fit Foods, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and HEB. That’s all of our big donors! And yet, somehow, client number 77 got a lot of food. A lot! I don’t know how he does it. He is amazing.
God bless you all. Please pray for all our clients and their families.
Needs list, for persons wanting to donate food: peanut butter, dry or canned beans, cereal, spaghetti sauce.
