Food Pantry Weekly, 07Oct2015

Greetings Foodies!

It was another great night at the Food Pantry.  In last week’s Food Pantry Weekly I talked about how our shelves were empty.  And then the shopping list of items available from the food bank was pretty anemic again; and when food donations came in from our donor stores yesterday and today, things didn’t get a whole lot better! So yesterday we did something we haven’t done in over a year: we bought some food at retail…I hate to do that!  And then today we made an extra trip to the food bank in far far south Austin at a time of day when they are best stocked. And then we got some great donations from the Gateway food pantry which is open Wednesday mornings. All together we were well stocked for our clients tonight. It is such a blessing that we have these options when we need them. Thanks to our awesome supporters and volunteers!

Please see our special “Volunteer Needed” ad below!

Blessings to you all, and please pray for our clients,

Carl
