Food Pantry Weekly, 13Jan2016

Greetings Foodies!
.
We’re always touched by the desire of those in need to give back. One client brought an arm load of toys for our waiting area where some of the children play. Another person brought food and another clothing. Many want to volunteer.
.
I guess our “lull” of the past three weeks is over. We served 96 households tonight!  And it took us a little longer. We didn’t see the last client out the door until about 7:30, so we’ll have to speed up again. But most of our volunteers were there until the end – cleaning up and putting things away. What a great team!  And speaking of such, this great little team of ours inventoried, ordered, picked up, delivered, unloaded, sorted, checked, weighed, stocked, displayed, served and even helped carry out more than 125,000 pounds of food in 2015!   It’s an amazing feat, all made possible by God’s grace working through his children.  It’s such a privilege to be part of it.
.
Please pray for all our clients. Some are really struggling.
