Food Pantry Weekly, 13May2015
I do so hate to miss being at food pantry, but since I have yet to master that two-place-at-one-time thing, last night I opted to be at an important family event. But I was there yesterday morning when some large food arrivals and set-up were taking place. Joe and Maja had just arrived from Trader Joe’s with over a thousand pounds of food and 58 bouquets of flowers. From all sources we received 2200 pounds of food this week. It is so good to be able to put that much food into the hands of those who have little. God is good!
Please take a look at our volunteer opportunities below. We have some great jobs available.
God bless you all for your support and please pray for all our clients and their families.

(1) Work with an experienced volunteer to pick up food at Capital Area Food Bank on Tuesdays at 11:00AM and take to Food Pantry. Total time from Covenant area will be about 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. This job requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs and load these items into a vehicle, then unload into the Food Pantry.
(2) Looking to take a big step into serving the poor? Ready to step your ministry up a notch? Call me. I have a couple of things I’d love to talk with you about. It will be a no-risk, no-pressure conversation, just something to think about.
