It was another great night at the Food Pantry. We had a last minute surge of arrivals and finished exactly where we did last week – with 85 households – which is just one shy of our record 86, and our 12-week rolling average hit 80 for the first time ever. Tonight’s 16 first-timers came with stories of crushing burdens and the understandable emotions that go along with loss of job, home and independence. These children of God are scared and angry and struggling to maintain dignity and hope. Please pray for these and all our clients.
Please consider the following urgent need.
Covenant Food Pantry is looking for a committed volunteer to perform one of our most critical tasks: Pick up food each week at Capital Area Food Bank and deliver to Covenant.
- Full-size pickup or other large capacity vehicle
- Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs
Pick up time is currently 11:00 Tuesdays.
Thank-you for your continuing support! Blessings to you all,
