Food Pantry Weekly, 19Aug2015

Greetings Foodies!

It was another great day at the Food Pantry. It was great to have Maja and Vickie back after long vacations, and we welcomed several new volunteers, including Ernie, Marie and Yoel.  The ebb and flow of both client numbers and pounds of donated food continues to be in perfect sync — both were lower today, so it all worked out perfectly!

Tomorrow at 12:30 we have our annual inspection by CAFB. It includes a walk-through of our facility and a bunch of paperwork. Basically, it is to ensure that we are living up to our commitments as a CAFB Partner Agency. Special thanks to Emma for scouring the paid invoices to find the ones CAFB wants to see. Pray that all goes well tomorrow!

I’ll repeat this request from last week’s Weekly:  If you know any area farmers (including egg-farmers) ask them if they would be interested in becoming a food source for our pantry!

Thanks for your continuing support and please pray for all our clients.
