A dear sweet lady and her husband – food pantry clients – came to us this afternoon with a special gift. A couple of weeks ago she had asked for a list of names of our volunteers, so I gave her a list of first names. Her gift was framed and had our names, expressions of their gratitude, and lots of angels! It is delightful…and I know heartfelt.
Tonight was busy, but it didn’t feel busy. We even ran out of bread! If you’ve worked in the food pantry in recent months you know we never run out of bread. It is such a blessing to be part of what God is doing at Covenant.
BTW, next Wednesday morning I’ll be telling the Covenant Food Pantry story to the Capital District of the UMC Board of Missions as part of our application for 2016 grant money. Please pray for me as I prepare and present to them.
And as always, please pray for all our clients.
