It was a great day at the Food Pantry! We started off kind of slow, with not very many coming to early sign-in; but they just kept coming throughout the evening, and we ended with the same number of households as last week (84). One hundred sixty-eight households in two weeks is nothing to sneeze at. Over 500 individuals. I think of these folks and pray for them throughout my week. I envision them opening a can or a box that they got at the food pantry on Wednesday, pouring milk on cereal or slicing up an apple or putting meat and veggies into a stew on their stove. And especially as I eat in my house. As a child of God, I’m thankful for what I have and I know these children of His are also thankful. They tell us so. We all need a little help sometimes and it’s awesome to be able to see God work in people’s lives.
If you have never volunteered here before, come join us on Wednesday at 5:00 to see first hand what it is that keeps our volunteers coming back! And if you are interested in exploring a leadership position in the Food Pantry, please contact me or Pastor Stella.
Thank you to all our supporters and volunteers, and as always, please pray for all our clients.
