Food Pantry Weekly, 27Apr2016

Greetings Foodies!
God planted a garden in Eden.
Whether you take the creation story as history or as a truth tale, there in Genesis chapter 2 is this beautiful image of God as a gardener. With His hands in the dirt, He provided. In 2015, our little food pantry provided 104,000 meals to the poor. Where does all that food come from? From our donors; from our pocketbooks; from our labors; yes, but ultimately the bounty of the earth all comes from God. We trust Him to provide, and provide He does. So rather than thinking in terms of donors giving their “waste” or surplus, think of the gardener, farmer, producer growing a tithe for the poor. Each of us is a link in that wonderful chain to provide food to those in need. It was a great day at the food pantry!
Please pray for all our clients,
Carl Wilson
