As you may know, our little food pantry has received an annual grant from the Capital (formerly Austin) District of the UMC Board of Missions. It is very helpful in allowing us to help all who come to us without cutting back on food, hours or service area. Today was our day to make a presentation to the committee that, along with the application paperwork, will be used to determine how much, if any, grant money we receive in 2016. I was there along with representatives from about 17 other ministries from around the district. I think it went satisfactorily. We expect to hear their decision sometime in the Fall. I pray that God’s will be done in their deliberations!
Tonight was a lighter-than-usual evening at food pantry as we served 63 households. As always, thanks to our great volunteers!
Please see the Volunteer Opportunity below, and please pray for all our clients.
