Our Mission
The mission of Covenant United Methodist Church Preschool is to nurture and support the whole family. The beliefs that form the ground work for our mission are:
Positive interaction with both the parent and child will affect our community as a whole. We believe that a Christian foundation provides the basis for this positive interaction
Children should develop a high self-esteem, gained through confidence in God, their environment, their caretakers and by being encouraged in the master of their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
A child’s play is his/her work, accomplished in a Christian, low-stress, non-competitive setting
The Preschool is a mission of Covenant United Methodist Church.

Curriculum and Philosophy
We believe that children learn best through play. Classroom activities are developmentally appropriate and correspond to thematic units. The child’s daily schedule balances activities that are:
- Structured/Unstructured
- Indoor/Outdoor
- Informative/Creative
- Individual/Group
- Active/Quiet
- Observing/Participating
- Teacher- /Child-Directed
Every child is unique with his/her own needs and interests. We seek to nurture each child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual abilities.
