Music and Worship
Covenant has a long tradition of praising God with music. We also support local musicians by providing a practice and performance venue for many outside groups.
The choir leads worship at the 11:15am Sunday service each week and rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm. In addition to leading hymns and singing anthems on Sundays, the choir presents special music throughout the year. The choir welcomes all skill levels and backgrounds. For more information, contact our Choir Director Richard Frazier.
The band leads worship at the 9:00am Sunday service and rehearses Wednesday nights at 6:00pm. The group features a diverse set of instrumentation and vocalists. Musical selection includes classic hymns, folk music, and alternative Christian music. For more information, contact our Worship Leader Jason Birdwell.
The Joyful Noise Handbells practice on Tuesday nights at 6:00pm, and always welcome new ringers. They play in worship monthly and for special services. For more information, contact Handbell Director Cathy Purdy.
The Kids of the Covenant Choir is a wonderful place for children ages 4-10 to learn about music and worship and to share their talents. They practice on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm during the school year and sing on various Sundays in worship. For more information, contact Director of Children's Ministries Emma Lake Boydston.
