Covenant Preschool is a half-day program for children ages 12 months through Pre-K. The fundamental mission of Covenant UMC Preschool is to nurture and support the whole family. Our goal is to provide a secure environment that encourages a child to grow and flourish. Philosophy
At Covenant Preschool, we believe that children learn best through play.
The teachers organize their classrooms into a variety of learning centers, and they strategically provide materials to meet the needs of children at different ability levels. Children working alone during center time can develop new skills and learn independently. When they work with friends, they develop skills in language and cooperation.
Our Mission
Our goal is to provide a secure environment that encourages a child to grow and flourish. To accomplish our goal in accordance with our beliefs, we will strive to: Maintain high quality staff, provide the necessary tools and surroundings for children to learn from their successes as well as their setbacks, promote parent involvement, educate staff, parents about developmental stages and age-appropriate expectations, and nurture and support the whole family.
Our church helps the Preschool by volunteering when they need it. The Pastor and Director of Family Ministry lead Chapel for the kids. The church hosts a Parent and Teacher Appreciation Dinner. And the CUMC has a Preschool Sunday where the preschool teachers and students show us a little of what they have been up to during the school year.
